Images with Soul.. A photographic journey through the tribes of the Omo Valley with Giovanna

Limited to just 6 photographers - experience the beauty, wisdom, and living heritage of Ethiopia’s tribal heartland
5th – 14th January 2026, with over a decade of connection to the Omo Valley, Giovanna invites you on a rare and deeply personal journey through one of the world’s most culturally rich regions

Is This Photography Tour For You?

This journey is for photographers who feel a strong connection to culture, tribal traditions, and the beauty of remote landscapes. It’s for those who want to experience and photograph communities where ancient ways are still alive and to do so with care, patience, and respect.

We visit some of the most visually striking and culturally rich tribal regions in Africa. The itinerary has been carefully planned to give you the best light and the most meaningful moments often starting before sunrise, traveling on dusty roads in air conditioner 4x4s, and arriving in places rarely seen by outsiders.

This tour is best suited to photographers who already feel confident using their camera. You should understand the basics shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and how they work together.

This isn’t a workshop to teach camera settings, but there will be inspiring conversations around vision, storytelling, and creative direction.

Respect is everything. We don’t just walk in and take photos we take the time to connect, to be invited in, and to truly see. Our guides are licensed professionals and long-time friends
who help ensure our presence is always welcomed and appropriate.

We also believe in responsible, sustainable travel making sure our visits directly support the local communities and leave a positive footprint.
