It was late at night when I and the team hear about this exciting news. Super thrilled and honored to be chosen as the MONOCHROME AWARDS 2021: PORTRAIT WINNERS, as honorable mention for our two entries.
"Nature's Crown"
A dried-out pumpkin decorated with wild berries adds certain confidence and style to this young girl from the remote tribe in Ethiopia. She sat quietly waiting for me to notice her. As I turned the lens towards her, in acknowledgment she tilted her head back slightly, showing me her strength of character and pride in her artistic creation.
"Reflection"
Late in the afternoon, by the river, my friend from this remote tribe had a moment of reflection. The perfect moment came together as she was watching a wild bird in the distance.
